South Korea


South Korea is a different world from the western world. There seems to be a melting pot of other Asian Cultures, Western Cultures, and the Native Korean Culture. When you teach abroad in Korea you will have unique experiences you will never forget and you can immerse yourself in as little or as much of the culture as you like. You will have a chance to eat new foods, meet new people with a different perspective on life, and see the culture that led to the country it is today.

The nature in Korea is valued, and when you want to get out of the city you can find the beauty of forests, mountains, and rivers. Teaching English in South Korea is an amazing experience because you can create new friends from all over the world; Korean friends, fellow Teachers, or some combination of both to help you find a good balance in your life that make you happy.

In South Korea you will have the opportunity to travel within Korea and other countries in Asia as part of your experience. There are numerous temples, mountains, rivers, festivals and different kinds of cities and towns to explore. You can take weekend trips easily as there is lots of cheap public transportation taking you throughout the country.

You also will make a lot of money, and can save a lot of money while working in Korea. You can choose to save what you make and spend very little, or you can live an excellent lifestyle while living here if you choose, as the cost of living is lower than in the United States or other developed countries.

It seems surprising to many how advanced Korea is. They are the most wired internet country in the world, and cell phone service is second to none. They have first rate trains and airports. Many things in Korea are written in English as well which helps a visitor find there way much easier. Korean people are glad to help, so don't be afraid to talk to a Korean if you need help.
